A Project Manager should be a continuous learner, dispite the different roles he/she has to carry on, having time for reading and learning about approaching technologies is a must.

"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young". This quote was written by Henry Ford. I agree, we must always and continually be open and embrace learning. That is what is so great about PMI and this site - we are encouraged and have an environment unique to project management where we can continue to learn and grow and hone our skills.

Learning is never ending, and in an ever changing field of IT, a lot of new technologies/concepts pop up every other day, PM needs to be updated on latest trends be it technology or be it management. Learning will also help in better project management. It is learning, which will keep the PM ahead of others.

"This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy."
