This is just an additional skill, not essential skill for PM.

Sometimes it is hard to judge what is essential and what is not essential.. the PM is like a navigator in the ocean ..

I agree with Rami and Akshay.They can be considered useful to have but not essential for PM.

I will agree, as in some projects the probability knowladge its essential.
