Hi everybody ..

Have anyone came across a published real-world story of a PM gone through his project by the PMBOK? Developing the project management plan and its subsidiary plans in paper?

I have been doing project management for some time but it is only now that I started comparing what I know by what the PMBOK tells. Although during work I was doing what the PMBOK explains on direct and manage, monitor and control, for the various processes but with the PMBOK introduction, that practice of mine is now PMBOK correlated, reflected and conceptualized.

Hello Farid,

i do try to act according the PMBoK in my real world projects since i have started preparing for the PMP exam.

I have already published two templates here on pm.com which are streamlined with PMBoK Guide.

You can find some good templates too at

http://www.projectmanagementdocs.com/

Actually i am working on a mindmap based framework which will contain templates and plans all according to the PMBoK Guide.
I will present this here at pm.com within a webinar series soon.

Regards,

Markus

Nice thing.. thanks Markus .. have you anything on Configuration Management Plan? It is part of the Project Management Plan set of plan but I hardly assume how a template for it will look like.

For me, using the PMBoK, is a lot of work, a lot of changes, a lot of discipline,
But the results are so easy to control, better prepared for the work. In my experience, the work is more easy and professional.
