I am looking for Agile Scrum Master certification. I see that a lot of institutes/organizations provide these certifications. I want to know which certification is most sought after. Could you share your thoughts please? PMI-ACP is one of the option. Saving Changes...
If you are doing Scrum Master certificate , i recommend doing it from either Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org. If your organization follows scrum and cares more about scrum than any other agile method scrum is for you.
PMI-ACP is generic certificate where the exam tests the agile mindset, it expects professional working with mix of scrum, lean , kanban and traditional processes .
I can see you have done PMP already, so most likely you wish to work in generic agile environment and if that is true, PMI-ACP is good choice for you.
Here you can explore more on PMI-ACP, Free program on ACP Introduction, you can even earn 7 PDUs by completing this program :-)

I just went for the PSM (scrum.org) and will now take the ACP - and both for different reasons.
With the PSM I just wanted to prove my Scrum knowledge and experience. I went with scrum.org as I heard from others and read it in blog posts, too, that the CSM (scrumalliance) is just too easy (very short, only few questions), was based on an alternative scrum guide (I heard they changed that just recently and go now for the original like scrum.org) and force you to book a training in advance at one of their providers/partners. The CSM has to be renewed every other year and is linked to mandatory membership.
The PSM is a longer test and as those who took both reported also more difficult. It relies on the original scrum guide and has to be passed once. No membership or provider training required.
I also take the ACP as I want to prove my diverse knowledge and experience in "agile" and "lean" as well as their combination with traditional approaches. That is why I dropped the PMP which is focused on traditional only (which is fine), but my work demands various knowledge and approaches. Thus I'm already into the ACP contents and fine to take that one instead.
I hope my personal approach helps when thinking about yours which can - of course - differ totally. :) Saving Changes...

CSM is a two day course generally 1,500 USD, third day is a short test everyone passed to become CSM certified. $50 per year after that to stay certified. PMI-ACP is 1/2 day test + experience + training. More expensive, though there are online options for the training. The PMI-ACP is the gold standard. The numerous other 'certifications' just mean yo attended the class. Of the all, and there are plenty of certifications available, the CSM sells best in the market place presently, though the ACP has gained signifigant ground lately.
