I'm a fairly new Project Manager working with a medium to large software development group. One of the pain points for us is that we do not have any sort of "At a glance" way of showing to the business what projects our developers are currently working on. Our team publishes a calendar with expected release dates for known projects, the problem with this is that it does not show start dates for a project, or give a clear picture of the workload for the team at any given time. In a typical month our team has 15-20 active projects, so plotting everything out in MS projects seems a little too low level.
Basically what i'm looking for is ideas on how to visualize very simply, the projects our team has in the queue, expected start dates, and expected completion dates. Really appreciate any advice!!! Thank you Saving Changes...
