If anyone is looking for a textbook case of poor scope and stakeholder management, there's been a storm brewing in Australia with IBM, who were recently hired to revamp the Australian Census Bureau website for their recent census. This was allegedly a DoS attack. Knowing the culture at IBM Australia and the way they handle projects I can safely say they would get defensive about the whole issue and portray themselves as above reproach. Hopefully some accurate data would come out which would enable some valuable lessons to be learnt.
At the end of the day the Australian government should learn to look beyond brand names and look for vendors who are more agile and in tune with today's Internet Security landscape. Saving Changes...

What is important, in my case, is to read carefully the publication and try to understand what went wrong mainly taking into account that it will be limited information and words like "good" or "bad" have lot of ambiguity.
