How do we and our teams stay in touch and update one other to move projects along? In shared non-work related tasks, how do we and others reach out to complete things? Are these communication channels exclusive or do the lines blur?

I've included a short 7 question survey below to gather this data and will post the results for everyone here tomorrow.

I've reviewed a multitude of task/project management applications and they each feature different sets of communication paths. I'm wondering how useful/valuable these are in light of the other ways we communicate outside of the dedicated software.

Answer - Face to face then phone (text messaging or voice calls)

Question 7 - Please enter in the box below any additional comments or general feedback you have regarding how you work with others to get things done.

Answer - Each response provided important elements of effective communication, such as

* Many activities surround a given task often are best done by interacting with others face to face in small group settings.
* Multiple unaffiliated communication paths are used together, so many people don't use an all in one solution.
* Usability, scalability and non-bloated software is ideal.
* Face to face communication is important but many things often need written documentation for further validation.
