I suggest looking at MindGenius. http://www.mindgenius.com/ I haven't used it, but it looks to be nicely tailored for project management, with integration between the mind map and a Gantt chart.
I also suggest checking out GamePlan (disclaimer: I work here) at https://www.gameplan.global/ . It's an online visual planning and scheduling tool. You plan by mapping out your project workflow on a virtual whiteboard, and as you plan on the whiteboard, a Gantt chart project schedule is automatically created.

Mindmapping can be used very good to work on several (if not all) project management processes in an effective way.
I am using mind manager for years now and it becomes better and better with each version, espacially for project management.
The very new Version 2017 has some great features for project management. btw Gant Chart feature was implemented since several Versions ago already and becomes also even better and better each time ...
In the new version there was a "critical path" feature added for instance.
And of course the Gant Chart was buidl automaticly based on your map and could be easily exported into MS Project for instance.
Mindmanager in combination with MS Project and MS Sharepoint could be used to build up a complete project management tool/framework which covers all project management processes. Saving Changes...

The last one I used, Crane, was Corel MindManager.
I'm used to doing mind maps on paper or white board. I find it difficult using a software-based tool because it requires me to focus on the tool rather than the mind map.
