Recently I gave a Project Management class that focused on the leadership qualities and through Q&A I found a lot more PMs seen to lean on Software vs. leadership & soft skills.

What are your thoughts? Are “some” PMs becoming more task takers and task givers vs. true project leaders?

Are PMs relying on software too much?

Anyone who uses a tool enough can mistake that tool for a goal.
It's good to find other lean thinking people who will ask if your process or software is actually adding value.

Sometimes I´d like to say: project manager is composed 20% by science and 80% by art. No matter my first background is on the science side.

The tremendous growth of AI has given birth to some great software tools which helps in Project management. But at the same time, it cannot be a replacement for a Project Manager. He/She plays a very big role in running a project.

I think a combination of PM+Software will be a good fit.
