What experience does anybody have in using agile or eXtreme project management approaches? Are there any best practices or clear methodologies? I see a lot of theoretical discourse on the web describing the rules and principles of eXtreme project management, but don't see many people describing case studies or practical applications. From what I read, it is simply just a flexible approach to managing rapid, iterative projects. Or is it just a way to escape the requisite discipline of managing scarce resources in the guise of something faddish?

I, also, have found no case studies. I am looking for iterative, spiral development,......anything extreme.....but have had no luck on the web. Has anyone had any further luck? I would appreciate any and all comments on extreme project management involving ANY sort of rapid development. Thanks.
