I don't want to be too presumptive, but if your organization is overbearingly concerned about metric driven performance, then I can't help but question whether they're truly Agile.
Please don't take this as an insult to your ability. I know a lot of teams struggle to become agile in order to increase their performance, yet do so in a non-agile organization. If your organization is already agile and just looking for performance data to aid strategic decisions regarding your product, then please ignore what I said.
Your organization might want more than burn charts because they're based on lag indicators, but their strength is that they're grounded in actual performance data that can be used to project future performance. It'd be worth having an in-depth discussion to find out WHO wants this data, WHAT specific data is needed, and WHY they need it. There's a fair chance that someone is just creating non-value added busy work for you, but if not, you'll be in a much better position to find a solution after knowing what problem they're trying to solve.
