Dependencies

I was talking to a class about dependencies and I couldn't think of a good, real world example of a start-to-finish dependency. Can anyone provide an example or two from their experience? Thanks.

This does not surprise me, as S-F, as well as S-S, and F-F, dependencies exist only, in my experience, as the result of insufficient thinking on the part of the planning team.

The only real dependency worth including in a project plan is F-S.

(That ought'a get things rollin'.)
