I am taking my PMO through Agile training and PMI-AGP certification. Does anyone have a good booklist for optional study?

Well, I think you are talking about PMI-ACP (bad joke, please do not be ungry with me). My recommendation is: take a close look to agile because agile is not software or IT related, is not a method or methdology, is not the manifesto. I am leading my seventh initiative to implement agile and a new PMO division has been opened because of that and the name is "Transformation and Innovation". Take a look to USA DoD NSF/Agility Forum (1990, I was part) or Mr. Rick Dove`s work named "Response Ability". Returning to your point, the reference list you can find inside the PMI`s certification site is the best you can read, in my opinion.

Getting PMI-ACP Certified in 5 Steps:

?1. Working Experience in Projects (2000 hours - not needed if PMP certified) and Working Experience in Agile Projects (1500 hours); refer to the PMI ACP Handbook: http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/P...P_Handbook.ashx

? 2. Obtain 21 Contact Hours of Agile Education
- therefore you may use the online PMI-ACP Exam prep course which is excellent in quality. If you already a PMP the Agile PrepCast also gives you 37 PMP PDU for my PMP re-certification as a bonus ! Agile Prep Cast: ? http://goo.gl/HAJNC3

? 3. Fill the online PMI?ACP Certifcation application form and schedule the PMI?ACP Exam; http://www.pmi.org/certification/agile-management-acp.aspx

? 4. Study for the PMI?ACP Exam; Reference List: http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/F...tsAIGLE418.ashx
= Hint: You do not need to study all those books from the reference list; the Agile PrepCast provide you the essence of all of these ? http://goo.gl/HAJNC3
? Recommended Prep Book for ACP-Exam: RMC PMI-ACP Exam Prep Book by Mike Griffiths ? http://goo.gl/KjKHkr
Alternative: The PMI-ACP Exam: How To Pass On Your First Try (Test Prep series) by Andy Crowe ? http://goo.gl/QGZYdH
1000+ PMI-ACP Practice Questions with Detailed Solutions ? http://goo.gl/wMykHe

? 5. Take and pass the PMI?ACP Exam. Good Luck!

Hope this help,

Regards,

Markus

I've recently purchased
PMI-ACP Exam Prep, Second Edition: A Course in a Book for Passing the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Exam Second Edition Edition
and love it. I'm about half way finished with it. But I've done a lot of other agile studies already and it is all familiar to me. Exam is scheduled for Oct. 20th.

Good luck with your exam Lisa!

Hi Tobe: I recently attended a presentation at our local PMI chapter where an expert shared Agile Project Management strategies and he had collaborated on a new book that is current being printed. The speaker's name is Mark Phillipy and he is the Director of Project Management and IT at Tedder Industries. He may be able to hook you up with one of his books. I believe the book was created to help with passing the PMI-ACP. You might want to reach out to him. https://www.linkedin.com/in/markphillipy/
