Perry, I suggest you start with clear definitions of what success looks like in very measurable terms. You will success defined from a project perspective and the outcome perspective in terms of how the software, once implemented is going to add-value to customers.
The project should be well communicated to all those with a stake in the outcome.
Be sure to keep implementation metric to serve as a performance baseline for subsequent rollouts.
