It is definitely a matter of interest, but there is definitely a sure-fire way to accelerate earning potentials as well as build ones self and bettering the prospects of the future. Let us take financial earnings as the major requirement.

I agree with Kiron , and Aude on this. Experience is more important than certifications.

Of course, I would assume that this varies greatly depending on your industry.
Very thankful for this useful link, Virginie.

I'd focus on experience more than credentials & building a network of strong advocates. Of course, if there is a Blockchain or machine-learning credential which you can couple with experience managing a project leveraging either of those, that's golden!

Kiron
Thank you Kiron, Blockchain or machine-learning credentials sound interesting. I would like to learn mre about this.

No amount of certification can get you to the top of the pyramid. For that you will need experience and to broaden your skill sets. I would recommend CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional) as delivering anything amounts to very little if not adopted and/or sustainable...
Thank you Aude. I am strongly considering this career path as a CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional) now that I have my PMP Certification.

I agree with everyone here, it is all about your interest. Personally I think agile is picking up so I am going for it.

There is not a certification that will help you to do that. Just to comment the role that has been created to work closely with top management starting for strategy formulation and continue to strategy implementation and benefits assurance is the business analyst.

To maximize earnings you need to move into senior management. Aim to become a Director of Project Management or a PMO Director, or something similar.

This actually depends on where you live (and if you plan on relocating) and what field you work in.

I would suggest PRINCE2 certification course is great for anyone who is in the UK or other Commonwealth regions. It is unnecessary for those who have taken PMP and don't live in these regions. The Certified Scrum Masters (CSM) training course is great for those who work in the IT industry. If the IT industry is where you work, then you can also consider the Green Belt Six Sigma certification course (if you have any experience in the field that is). If IT is not your thing and you just want to improve your PMP-related skills, then take the PgMP certification course. It is conducted by the PMI and trains you further on more refined and specialized project management skills.

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons."
