Does it enhance people to think high of someone that once in a while spends personal money for company related trip?

My company have different locations and there is project one my manager is working on.
She will be travelling to a location and needs my help attending webex meeting while she is there.
However , I think it will be helpful if I am there in person but since it is too late to submit a travel request, I am thinking about pay for the trip myself. Since the company will pay for her hotel, I will stay in the same hotel as her as agreed

If it's business related trip, all travelling expenses including stay should be arranged by the company. Mainly all arrangements are done by travel desk internal to the organization. If not, one can submit claims and it is reimbursed.
