This site is very confusing, we talk about Project Plan templates, but deliver a project schedule template, they as we all know are not the same thing.... Where do we have an example doc showing all

It is a common practice for people, especially those who are not project managers, to refer to schedules as plans. In fact, I remember once seeing planning in PMI's French translation for schedule.

PMI talks about project management plan, not project plan.

Thanks ALL for the replies....totally agree with the wording project plan relating to a schedule...and adding the word "management" takes on the full meal deal...but I still don't see a template, not on the link either... I'm working on it...maybe I can post it here when I get it done... Cheers.. Jack

Some people hate me because I always make comments about the missuse of terms. And always I say the same: this jeopardizes the work for all people that are performing project manager role. In fact, you will find people that owns a certification and say things like "PMI methodology" or if you ask them "what project management is?" you will surprise with the answer.
