I learned about COSO when I took my Fundamentals of Enterprise Risk Management course. COSO offers an enterprise risk management framework for organizations. Unlike other frameworks, it is not industry specific.

I am working with that from the begining when Sarbanes-Oxley law was created because I worked in an USA company which was impacted about that. Time after I have the opportunity to use an adaptation in Spain. If you ask me, if you work inside an USA company, forget to obtain a risk management position is you do not know very well about all related from academic to implementation. In other parts of the world I did not leave the same.
