I'm searching for literature or instances of APM in ID projects particularly when it was used in developing countries. I'm exploring alternatives to the current methodologies offered through the logical framework or PM4NGOs.

Could anyone share some opinions on alternatives to standard project management in ID projects?

This may not exactly address what you are asking, Lawrence, but it might give you some of what you're looking.

With all my due respect, we need to stop using buzzwords like "Agile project management". It does not exist. What exist is project management applied into agile environements. And agile is not related to software or IT, agile is not a method or methdology, agile did not start with the manifesto. Please, this type of things jeopardizes the work of people like me that are working in agile environements from the very begining of the concept.

Sergio,

If Agile is not a methodology, then how do you define or refer to the rules and methods applied in an agile environment?

While I have written several articles (the last one for PM Network magazine) and performed conferences around the world about that, please take a look to the "génesis": USA DoD/NSF Agility Fórum (1990, I was part) or Mr. Rick Dove´s work he published in the book "Response Ability" which contains most of that fórum deliverables.
