What book is to PMI ACP as PMBOK (Version 5) is to PMP? I'm looking to prep and write the exam for ACP soon. Please advise

It looks like you might be interested in the PMBOK6 companion, Agile Practice Guide. It is available for pre-order now, with a September 6 release date.

Is that the standard book prescribed by PMI though? I know PMBOK is The Book for PMP followed by Exam prep books. What's the equivalent for PMI ACP?

Considering it is the only Agile book in the PMI store that is produced by PMI, I would say it is the closest thing to a PMI standard.

Please note, though, that even PMBOK 6 will have more Agile content. You may want to get the both of them.

hmm right. Thanks!

I plan on writing my exam by end of Oct.. Given there's no direct on the subject by PMI, RMC Mike Griffith seems to be the best choice. Any recommendations for Exam questions book? The one by RMC is a software with 500 questions ($200), too expensive

Here is what PMI's PMBOK page states today.

"The Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® exams will be updated in Q1 and Q2 2018 to correspond to the release of the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide."

I too just purchased this book and really find it easy to use and full of all of the information I will need to know. But I have been studying agile for a few years now and a lot of it is familiar. I like that it tells me how the information may be asked on the examination. I'm scheduled to take my exam on Oct. 20th.

The PMI Agile Certificted Practitioner Exam Outline (2014) states

"All the questions on the examination have been written and extensively reviewed by qualified agile subject matter experts and are supported by current published references in agile topics."

Unless PMI changes the Exam Outline, that means the questions are based only on published references at the time. That would obviate the new PMI Agile Practice Guide.
