David, I am also on the same journey as you are to PMI- ACP and I think PMI ACP Exam Prep by Mike Giffiths is an awesome book which is simple to understand and very comprehensive.

I passed the PMI-ACP exam on my 1st attempt and read through these 2 books, that are also recommended by others:
- The PMI-ACP Exam “How to pass on your first try” by Andy Crowe
- PMI-ACP Exam Prep by Mike Griffiths

Good luck!

David -

The current ACP exam is significantly simpler than the PMP exam - I even found it simpler than the RMP exam.

While I wouldn't discourage you from using one or more study guides, if you have a good understanding of the specifics of Scrum, Lean, Kanban and XP and lead with an agile mindset (i.e. living the values and principles of the Manifesto), you'll find the questions very straightforward.

I studied using Andy Crowe's book, but found that was overkill for me relative to the difficulty level of the exam.

As with all of PMI's exams, practice a lot with sample exam questions to assess how ready you are.

Best of luck!

hmm right. Thanks!

I plan on writing my exam by end of Oct.. Given there's no direct on the subject by PMI, RMC Mike Griffith seems to be the best choice. Any recommendations for Exam questions book? The one by RMC is a software with 500 questions ($200), too expensive
I too just purchased this book and really find it easy to use and full of all of the information I will need to know. But I have been studying agile for a few years now and a lot of it is familiar. I like that it tells me how the information may be asked on the examination. I'm scheduled to take my exam on Oct. 20th.

Hi,

I have a copy of PMI ACP Exam prep. book by Mike Griffiths from 2012. Is that good enough or you have to have the second edition?

Ofcourse the second would be more updated but wanted to get an opinion if the 2012 version is sufficient for clearing the exam?
