Although the home page indicates I'm subscribed to the Change Management Practice Area it is not listed in the Subscriptions and Notifications listing.

I can't see this listed under subscriptions at all so I believe there is no newsletter anymore for Change Management. (Not sure though)

Diane,

I reached out to our Community Engagement Specialist "Marjorie Anderson" and her reply was as follows:

"I don't believe we've ever sent out any practice area specific newsletters. I can verify, but I'm pretty sure that's something from the former Communities of Practice program that no longer exists."

If there is no longer a newsletter available in the new Communities of Practice then why is there a bar at the top right that indicates that one can subscribe? I click it and I can either subscribe or not. I am not looking for someone to create and develop a newsletter however just a weekly email with a list of discussions with links and something about new posts and changes would be helpful. For example, I can subscribe to this particular thread and get email updates, but that is not available on all of the sites. I'm not sure how the other groups do it, could someone check with one of the other practice areas to find out? It may be a simple setting that does a scrape of the home page and then emails it. Although I am a subscriber to several others, I don't have access to the 'behind the scenes' portion to view or edit the settings. However, I am happy to volunteer if help is needed?
Thank you! Diane

Diane,

There are newsletters available and I do receive them on monthly basis but as Marjorie mentioned, they are not "Area Specific". Under My Account , Subscriptions & Notifications, there are the following options only to subscribe for:

Subscriptions:

The PM Insider Newsletter
The Compliance Newsletter
The Agileist Newsletter
The Certification Update Newsletter
The IT Strategist Newsletter
The Webinar Update
ProjectManagement.com Partner Offers
ProjectManagement.com Special Offers

Notify me via email when someone:

Sends me a message.
Adds me to their network.
Posts a recommendation for me.
Requests I fill out a part of my profile that is incomplete.
Invites me to play PMwars.
Posts or comments on an item that I am subscribed to.

I subscribed for all the above and receive everything including weekly emails with a list of discussions with links, new posts and changes.

I hope this helps Diane. If you have any further concerns, I suggest you reach out to one of PMI's Community Engagement Specialists (You can message Marjorie Anderson) - I do not work for PMI Engagement Community but I am trying to help you out to the best of my knowledge.

Good Luck !

Rami - thank you for the clarification. I also have signed up for the PM Insider, Agile, etc. newsletters. If I see something of interest, then, I click and go to the site directly. It is just a bit confusing why there is an option to sign up for a Change Management newsletter if one doesn't exist? Oh well, c'est la vie Thank you -
