We have project managers and project steering committees doing oversight. Any thoughts/advice on what oversight the IT Investment Committee should do? Saving Changes...
If I interpret the name of the group correctly, the IT Investment Committee probably needs to be a subset of the organization's strategic leadership so that there are clear, direct, logical, identifiable, links to both the bottom line and to the agreed upon strategies that will lead to achieving "more goal" for the organization and not conflict with other similar initiatives both inside and outside of IT. They take marching orders from the strategy and assure that whatever IT projects are undertaken support it. Saving Changes...
"This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy."
