Hello

I need a little advice please. I am currently working on a project that has a very strict deadline. As a result, a number of automated functions are being removed to ensure we hit the deadline. One removal involves 2 browser based application that passed data between each other. These are both apps that sit in our sales area and now means we will have to double enter the details in 2 separate browser windows.

I would like to know if it is possible to build one of the browser windows with the other application embedded in it. Is this possible and what would the architects need to do for this.

Just a simple explanation will do.

Thanks in advance

Depends on the coding language of the applications and do they offer any API?

There are several ways one of them is, you can make use of web services(like SOAP-RPC, XML-RPC calls) to talk to the other application(if it supports one) and get the desired data. If both the applications are based on let us say J2EE, then you can make use of transparent proxies and get the work done.
