I am interested in other members thoughts on creating an operations plan to run a web content site. I have gathered some general information categories from which to base the development of such a plan.

A little background, I am using my experience in implementation methodology development and interactive project management but need to go a step further and talk about what needs to be managed after implementation or project launch. Does anyone has any constructive thoughts or knowledge of resources for Web site operations planning, budgeting and management specifically for a content site. I can provide some more detail if needed.

Dear Anonymous, your post is very near and dear to us..! We have invested heavily in our in-house content site operations planning system. This can be a "big snowball", but we are fairly satisfied with our current state. And you are right on track, post implementation operations and planning is far more than just an ad hoc effort. Depending upon your needs, you may want to be able to track and manage content, track and measure the visitor experience, optimize a number of website related things. There are a number of good vendor tools to help, but they don't provide the actual operations management process. I would be delighted to have a chat with you. Please feel free to drop me an email ([email protected]) and we can discuss further. Regards. -- Mark Perry, VP of Customer Care, BOT International
