Difference between Invitations and referrals ??

WE all know that we can earn
Badges for referrals :
Promoter – Refer 4 new members
Advocate – Refer 12 new members
Zealot – Refer 25 new members
my question is do we get badges for invitations too ?? how an invitation becomes a referral??

Hi Mudassar, It depends what you mean by invitation ? I am not sure I fully understood.

Referring someone occurs by inviting him or her to join the website through a link you sent them so basically referral occurs through invitation from you.

My take is that it would require a full cycle - invitation and acceptance.

You invite a member and they should acceot your invitaion and create an account via the link you send them. Once they confirm their account, it will be added to your count as referral. You can invite as many as you want but they need to accept and create an account to be considered as referrals.
