Saurabh: while I was part of the team that create BABOK v3 I encourage people to avoid read it. It is better to read BABOK v2. My recommedation is reading the PMI´s Practice Guide for Business Analysis because is a great work to understand about business analsysis and business analys work including the interaction with the project manager.

@Sergio, I'm a little confused, why if you participated in the new version are you recommending the old? Could you explain a little?

Well, I have participated from version 0.9 which was in 1993 (hehehehe). Working in this type of things is a volunteer work. You are part of a group. I have expressed my concerns inside the group and in public because the IIBA allow it. I was proud to work with the IIBA all this years and I hope to work with it in the future. But in my opinion version 3 is a mess and people who need to understand the role have to avoid it. GO for version 2.
