Leading projects on site, not only in Europe, also in USA, but with remote teams in a different time zone.
I've realized that there is a common feeling in the on-site teams try to avoid Monday morning meetings and Fridays afternoon. Engage them and trying to explain that virtual teams are also in OUR team, is not always easy.

From your point of view, what is the worst day/time for a team meeting? Why?

White Collars meetings (by this I mean office meetings): best practice is Tuesday or Thursday as it avoid the worst days already spotted and leave a complete day to attendants to do their own
Blue Collars meetings (aka working sites meetings): heavily managed by time schedule. I had a UK based project where every morning 8:00 we had meetings, each day on a different subject. And Saturday was half day working!

Alberto, thank you for your comments. I hope that you don't have meetings also on Saturday.

I liked the White and Blue Collars.

I've seen a few differences based upon the location of the team. Normally it's always wise to avoid: Mondays, Fridays (and of course weekend days!).

We've also seen that based upon the team, them wanting to have meetings on Monday's to not 'lose' the week so it's all about what your team would like and would be willing to agree to

Client Progress Review Meetings should be held preferably on the first day of the week before lunch break.Contractor's internal review meetings should be held in the middle of the week as well as on the last day of the week. This works better on construction projects according to my experience.

That would not work on many projects I was on, Chandrashekhar. Monday morning is often travelling time for team members, including the project management team..

Good point, Stéphane! When the team members travel, usually will not arrive at the office after lunch.

On projects where I was the Project/Construction Manager ,Client, invariably, preferred to have the PRM on the first day of the week.Nevertheless,I agree that convenience/availability of key project team members has to be factored in fixing the day for the meeting.

I try to avoid Mondays and Fridays as well due to the time resources take off; Tuesday generally works best. I like to meet with customers on Wednesday to have a midweek touchpoint. This allows for the customer to digest and pass along our formal Friday status update and get an update twice a week
