Dears,
Currently, I review some exercises, and I found 2 different ways for calculation of EAC/ CPI or ETC, when you have a list of activities as part of a whole package or project.
Sometimes, the calculations are made for each activity, sometimes, it is made globally. And the results are not the same...
Example:
Using the situation below, and assuming continued efficiency for work in progress and fixed price contract for task 4, calculate the EAC:

Task 1
Budgeted cost: 5000
PV: 5000
AC:6000
EV: 5000

Task 2
Budgeted cost: 6000
PV: 6000
AC:8000
EV: 4000

Task 3
Budgeted cost: 4000
PV: 2000
AC:1000
EV: 1000

Task 4:
Budgeted cost: 4000
PV: 0
AC:0
EV:0

Thanks for helping !

You will do just fine I am sure, I wish you the best of luck in your exam.

Try to solve as many simulation exams as possible. FastTrack is Rita Mulcahy's simulation exam software and even though it is pricy but it is worth the investment as you will benefit a lot.
The instructor blamed me because I was preparing questions too much and I was making errors on what he considers as simple questions like, the tools and techniques, inputs and outputs, that you need to know by heart...
During the simulation, there were sentences coming directly from the PMBOK (including annexes)....what a pity such memorization....

Do not memorize anything, but make sure you do understand all concepts and yes, do not over solve exam questions, just make sure you are comfortable.

I have worked by knowledge area, and apparently it was not a good thing...This is why I think I miss the global picture and understanding sometimes...But, it is a bit late maybe to try what you have advised...I already spend so much time on this preparation...but not in an efficient way it seems...

The PMBOK alone is not enough. You need another reference book like Rita Mulcahy's 8th edition update exam prep book. It is just fantastic. I did study from it besides PMBOK when I applied for my exam.

Good Luck.
