What do you do when you join a company as a PM and there is a shortage of projects to run?

- improve Project Management processes / best practices in the organization
- find out the cause of the variable workload and what can be done (together with the PMO if they have one)
- learn something new that will help you to become a better PM

Absolutely agree with my peers here. There is so much that can be done outside of daily efforts, such as process improvement, identification and solutioning of existing sore points, improving documentation expectations, standards, etc. With that, professional development, then using what is learned to improve your organization.

Much of my accomplishments I'm most proud of this year were outside of specific project work.
