Where do PM and TQM converge?

Hello Experts:
I am wondering if anyone on the discussion board has successfully implemented a PMI-based project management process/methodology in an environment that supports TQM as its corporate process/quality standard? My preliminary research indicates this should work well, however I am wondering if and where they differ?
