Hello to all of you. I was wondering if you might be able to give answers on the next questions:
1. How often do you use the timing of your working tasks?
2. Have you ever used the timing in your life out of work?
3. What is your experience in the timing?

Time is Money - There is always time to do everything but it all goes down to how well you manage your time. Time Management is very important and comes with experience.

I am too sure I understand fully the first two questions but if you meant if we follow the milestones for the tasks then the answer is yes.

Thanks for your answer, you are absolutely right.Time is Money.
The milestones are part of project schedules and they are usually embodied the big blocks of time. I don't think that you can have maybe five or ten milestones in a day.
I mean under the timing of work the time recording of your work operations, the beginning and the end of work operations, when you are planning them and when you are checking them when you've done. It's like a chronometry or like time study in practice.
Have you ever heard about Lyubishchev's method?

You're Welcome Irina.

When it comes to projects, time is definitely money because in many cases if your project is delayed, there are penalties and extra costs to expedite the work.

I have never heard of the method you've mentioned but I guess it has to do with having better quality of life vs. time management. However, to answer your question, yes in the current field I am working in, I do track all my hours everyday because I work as a PM consultant handling many projects for different clients so I have to be precise about the daily tasks and how much time consumed on each and then record those hours on a program called Harvest.

At the end of the month, the program will give you a report of hiw many hours per project per client and we invoice them accordingly and the report is detailed as it can mention the activity / day amd so on.

Thanks for your opinion.
Absolutely right in a philosophical way, when time is the same as life. I've heard the Ted Talks and I like the words about time in our life by Laura Vaderkam "we can build the lives we want in the times we've got". But when we mention work time there is always about money.
Could you give me some more details about yours time management, please?

Timming is the ability to select the precise moment for doing something for optimum effect. That is timming for me (perhaps because I was a tennis player and tennis coach - hehehehe).
To be honest I always create a project schedule. In fact, that is included inside our governance process. But after working inside lot of project in different industries where perhaps 90% of them are performed with multi-tasking people I made my own method to control the progress. I use and indicator that compare estimated time vs remainded estimation time with the progress. And regarding the type of project and organizational strategy behind that project, depending of the activity progress and the remainded time, we publish a color on the activity. Trying to give you an example. Suposse the estimated time is 100 hs. Suposse you are in a point of time where 50 hs. have elapsed from the start. Supposse the progress is 30%. Then is a red for us.

Thanks a lot for your interesting answer and very good example. Tennis is an impressive experience! I think sportsman have had practice in finding the right moment of time and optimizing effects more than others. As I understood your method is very interesting and gives you the possibility by schedule control in the baselines. Which tools are you using?

Thank you for your answer, Rami. The method which I kept in mind is a really interesting and useful as in work as in life. I will try to explain it separately some later.
Thanks for your example. I used an analogical system, we had a lot of projects with one big client, and to get reports from that system was very comfortable, but nobody didn't like to write their work hours carefully.

It is different when you have different projects with one client than having different projects with different clients.

Moreover, It is not about like and dislike, it is about taking responsbility for your hours and their allocation so people who do not like to properly record their hours for proper allocation and billing are simply irresponsible in my opinion.

Yes, I completely agree with you and, of course, we worked on that. And I think there are different situations with recorded work hours, firstly, when people get payments per hour people trying to work or record much more hours, and secondly, when payment makes on estimated work time people work much more hours. What is a distinction by recording work time on projects by one client from recording work time on projects for different clients?
