Many companies are discovering the benefits of going beyond mere mapping of business processes. There is a new generation of process simulation software applications that allow companies to model business processes and then to simulate their effectiveness and efficiency.
If you are using these types of tools we would love for you to share your experiences and outcomes achieved. Thanks

Michael - we are using iGrafx software for process mapping and simulation. There are a couple of versions available, including one for Six Sigma practitioners. The simulation engine allows you to load in a variety of parametric information and run the simulation. In addition, you can adjust the simulation on-the-fly to visually see the impact these changes have on the environment.

Thomas, how are you finding IGrafx? I here there is a user group forming for this product. Any chance you would like to submit a case study on your experience with the tool?
