From a project manager's perspective with whom all does he has to deal when in product manager's role or in a product management team.

Through reading I understand that the team comprise of:

1) Product manager
2) Developers
3) Business Analysts
4) UX and UI designers
5) Marketing people

Please add as my knowledge is limited in this regards.

I would like to know your team structure and what problems did you faced while dealing with this environment

I have seen system testers and configuration managers part of the product management team. The product manager often is a solution architect. If not, you will also want an architect on your team.

Product Manager as Project Manager ? So one individual doing both roles, initially it can be managed but in extended period it needs to be two individuals. PM needs to ensure that the team is on track for the mission and should be removing any impediments. He/She should ensure that the Product Owners vision is being met.

The team structure may vary with the size of the organization. Sometime one has to play multiple roles to achieve the goal.

I hope I understood your question correctly: I think when it comes to Product Managing, the Product Manager needs to deal with all personnel involved as everyone has a unique role that contributes towards the success of the products be it in production or sales.

Shouldn't there be a user presence? and it is not marketing that can do that!
