Is agilecertifications.org still valid and active and offering certifications?

Dear All, I found the institute agilecertifications.org offering certification at a lower cost vis-a-vis others like PMI. Since I am new to agile, I am planning to get the first certification from this body first. But I see no activity in their linkedin site. Any update on this would be helpful.

Rajib

I don't know anything about them specifically, nor never heard of them, or seen their credentials anywhere. If you are going to spend the effort to get a certification to better yourself and your career, choose something that will add valuable impact, not just simply for getting a certification. If the certification is not recognized, there will not be much benefit.

On the flip side, striving to earn credentials in a preferred area show initiative and a level of professional development; and that certainly cannot hurt.

Thanks a lot Andrew. I was referring to this organization "http://www.agilecertifications.org/".

However I completely agree with you as well. It is just that I wanted to take small step towards agile certification as I am not involved actively into Agile project management. So instead of going for a PMI, I wanted to go for this one as PMI expects working experience in Agile to write the test

Thanks Vincent. I am into IT, so PMI ACP is the best one, however they require working experience in Agile which I do not have. So thats why I was looking for alternatives.
