Though you are an experienced professional, still you need to put time and efforts for any PMI certification. Earning PMI certifications is not an easy task.

I agree with most of the comments above on PgMP certification. My 2 cents is, people might need more help with filling the form and understanding the format .There is no help available on experience summaries anywhere on line or from the PMI certified institutes .Can PMI do anything about this please..

The exam is no different from others you may have taken, and the same general rules apply.
1- Learn the material on which you will be tested from OFFICIAL sources, and not simply on your own experience. Too many people who do not pass, have this result because they forgot this simple point. As stated above, sometimes it is harder for those with lots of experience, and that experience is all-too-often based on experiences which veer away from the proven practices and procedures contained, for example, in the PMBOK or the study guides
2- Take the exam with the right attitude--go in there wanting to pass, willing to think through questions, and not with a self-assured attitude you are good enough to pass easily. Every test takes effort.
3- Study over time, and not in a cram before the exam. practice the skiulls correctly over time, thinking about what you are doing, and performing to the manual to the best you can. Then, before the exam, think back on what you have studied, what you have done, and bring some of that thought into the exam. Often, remembering situations and stories leads you to the right answer.
Good luck in your effort

Couldn't agree more. Its the learning journey. Although the exam fee seems very high.
