Mohamed, this is a great topic. The vast majority of Agile resources out there are tailored for software development, which makes sense given the origins of the Agile Manifesto, which is properly titled "Manifesto for Agile Software Development." Agile Evangelists are quick to say that it can be applied to non-IT projects, but many of them have trouble giving good examples.

I must say, as I've often said here, that if your organization does not have an Agile culture, either throughout the organization or in protected areas in which you operate, you will struggle to lead an Agile project. I won't say that it can't be done, but many have tried and failed. If you don't have high-level support in your organization to uphold the Agile values and principles, then your project will operate contrary to your organization's natural culture, and that generates a lot of friction. Are you ready to absorb all that heat?

Thanks Wade for your comment.
I do agree with you in the Agile Culture is very important to apply Agile in different types of projects within the organization.
Building this culture is the leaders responsibility so I believe if the leaders understand Agile and believe in its value then they can build the Agile Culture within the organization.
Thanks again

I am working with one recruitment agency who is implementing Agile in their process, for them it us more a culture of courage , collaboration and customer focus . We have picked practices from Scrum and Kanban, we do daily scrum inside the team and scrum of scrum between different teams, we use visual kanban boards to see work and issues across groups. Organization is happy about it since they were sick of their past improvement initiatives which usually mean more process and documentation and results was not great.

I've used Agile principles for a non-software project to manage the work of a software improvement team. It worked well. Basically, the reason behind the usage was to prioritize the work based on the value to the department. This was the first and only time that I used agile methods in this way and I highly recommend it.

None. And the first thing to do is to understand that Agile did not born in softwre field. Agile is not the manifresto or its principles. And I am working in my seventh initiative to implement Agile at enteprise level. I have the opportunity to write a short article for PM Network but if you really want to understand what Agile is search for USA DoD NSF/Agility Forum (1990, I was part) or Mr. Rick Dove`s work named "Response Ability" which contains most of that forum deliverables. Agile is not a method, Agile is not software related, Agile is not a life cycle. But if you like to use some Agile Software Development Method (foday then becomes Agile Solution Delivery Method) like SCRUM or DSDM them works. There are lot of examples into the internet.

You are welcome. My intention is bring to the table this type of things I have the opportunity to live.
An example of Agile in one place that "a priori" it totally not agile is this: https://steveblank.com/2016/11/10/how-the-...vation-culture/
And in this post you will find a great article about some of the history: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/when-agile-...e-title-publish
