Hi,

I work for a tech company in the Product Development department and would like to get some feedback on popular project management software programs.

Our Marketing/Creative departments use Workfront. IT and my department (product development) choose JIRA. What else is out there and more user friendly than JIRA?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Tawny,

That’s a pretty broad subject.

When it comes to managing their projects, what are the key drivers for your organisation?

Do they need strategic portfolio views, or are projects managed independently of one another?

Does it need to interface with Workfront and/or JIRA? Will new software supersede them both, or will another product be utilised in parallel?

Will cost also be a consideration, or are they just looking to improve on their Design to Release capability?

Regards,

Darren Kosa

User friendly is pretty subjective.

I'd look at what is needed, aka requirements, in this system - integration points, user experience, reporting, etc. What are the limitations with JIRA? What is the problem you are trying to solve.

I'm sure if you could provide some high-live requirements, members could better help steer the ship.

It depends on your specific needs. I know the Web agency next door uses Pivotal Tracker, dev like it, designers don't.

It varies from Industry to Industry and particular project needs/requirements
