Creating own calendar by inheriting from Base in MS Project

I need to create my own calendar in MS Project where a workday is defined as 2 hours and weekends are included in the workdays. Somehow the calendar that I create after inheriting from the MS Project Base calendar does not seem to reflect the above stated work time window that I want to use for the project. It reflects changed work time only for a day while rest of the workdays are still of base calendar. Am I missing some step?

Would appreciate if someone can help.

Let me know if more details are required.

I am going to go on the assumtion that you already know how to get to and make changes to the base calendar. What you may not be doing is highlighting the days of the week header. This makes the change for all of the days you highlight for infinity. Highlight the days header by dragging across it and then make the necessary changes to the calendar. Also make the changes on the calendar tab under "Options" to match the hours you are setting in your base calendar.
