As you have already noted, there are a lot of tutorials out there.

As far as a reference book goes, I got the most usable info from a book titled:
"Microsoft Project 2010, Inside-Out", by Teresa Stover. It is available on Amazon in both print and Kindle formats.

She lays out the features of MS Project in a format that mirrors how professional PMs approach most projects. She does an extremely great job at explaining how each feature works within the program and relates it back to how it helps/supports the PM processes.

Hope this will be of use to you.

I used the MS Project 2010 for Dummies, and was very helpful, along with tutorials you may easily find on suitable Youtube channels.

Hi Aejaz,

I am currently taking a tutorial from Udemy on Ms Project. I am currently in the middle of the course and finding it extremely good and well paced with every lesson being explained using real examples. There was an ongoing offer which i think is on even now, where you can get it only for 10$.

Do check it out and preview it. The tutor also has an Indian accent, if it matters.

Thanks

I agree with Mark & Eduard.

All you need is a good reference book to start, and these are best -

"Microsoft Project 2010, Inside-Out", by Teresa Stover
"MS Project 2010 for Dummies"

Hi Aejaz,

Here is a book (Forecast Scheduling with Microsoft Project 2013), I recently purchased from one of our fellow colleagues - Eric Uyttewaal who is an authority on Microsoft Project - http://www.projectprocorp.com/products.php.
