I have been getting more involved with this forum lately and we often advise people to get in touch with their local chapter. I for one am a member of four "local" chapters, none of which is less that 1.5 hours away. That is not so bad, but I suspect that others are even more remote from their chapters.
Anyone who works from home is also limited in their choices.

Does anyone know of an online PMI chapter? If not, is anyone interested in figuring out how to start one?

Hi Ruth,

Thanks for posting this question.

If you're finding it difficult to connect to your local chapter because of distance, I suggest reaching out to your chapter leadership to discuss ways that would make it easier for you to connect to them locally. As you know, there are many benefits to visiting a chapter meeting and networking with other PMs in your area, and we wouldn't want you to miss out on them because of proximity.

For online connections, ProjectManagement.com is PMI's global online community. We offer robust content and many opportunities for you to network with people globally, including in your local chapter!

From your profile, you can connect with other members of your chapter and start conversations! Just use the "Find Chapter Members" link next to your chapter name.

If you still have questions or need some clarification on anything, feel free to reach out.
