I read an article about Facial psychology and its uses in Human Resources in order to select the correct candidate in an open position.
The process of psychological morphological selection requires 4 photographs of the individual and signed consent for the use of this method, a document that at the same time ensures the confidentiality and protection of their data, according to the Law.
The article explained that the photos will give information about the attitude of the candidate to the work, providing a differential value in the processes of selection, promotion...because they can measure thinks like honestity and reliability.
Are you aware of this "new" technology? What do you think about it? Saving Changes...
I'm curious how they with 4 photos can know if I'll be the perfect candidate or not...it means, that maybe I should start to rehearsal a new smile... Saving Changes...

Hello Mayte - This is so interesting, I've never heard of this before....and wonder how it helps HR measure honesty and reliability? Can you explain further? Saving Changes...

Mayte, would you be able to link the article?
I had not heard of this technique used in the interview process, but had heard of such studies to help detect lying, and detecting a true/real smile vs fake - so better not to practice and just use your natural smile - :)
I see it as a combination of the interviewing understanding body and facial gestures, in conjunction to good old fashioned dialogue. Saving Changes...

The method is there since long time but used for purposes other than HR and Recruitment - I've never heard before that it is currently used for selecting candidates - This is very interesting Mayte.
Like Andrew said, can you provide us with a link to an article if available ?
On the other hand, from your point of view, do you believe this is a good method for selecting the right candidate ?

Rami,
Yeah Rami, nowadays we can see a lot of technology in our houses that first was developed for governmental proposals, as velcro that first was designed for spacemen..
From my point of view, if the company is doing it at the face to face interview, I don't mind to do it. I don't lie, and I only apply at those companies that I have a real interest in work on it. I don't like waste time.
But, for example, I don't like the photos or selfies and stuff like that, then, if the company will ask me for send 4 photos with my resume, I can assume that I will not arrive at the face to face interview.

I agree with Rami as Intelligence agencies have been using this technology for quite some time, i have never heard of any Recuriting agency using this technology though there are some psychological tests involved.
Please share the link to the article you read Saving Changes...

This is true - I won't even be interested to apply for a company who asks me to send them selfies.
