Have you ever known a great project manager or do you know one? The type of project manager who is an incredible leader and influencer - whose people follow them wherever they go -- different projects, companies, etc. If you could ask them one specific question (other than "how do you do it?"), what would it be?

I've known one and he was my mentor and I've always asked him: How do you influence people and he taught me patiently. I owe him a lot.

I'm not sure if it applies, but one time I was asked "Why? Why are you spending your personal time coaching the people? preparing training...?..."

I'm not a guru and I don't plan that the people follow me or my tips...I enjoy working with people and help them to grow up.

I have not come across with any leader with true leadership qualities & style. All I met were professionals, and all contributing in some way or other.

Great quote;Anumpam. I've worked, met and been coached by many great leaders. Best advise is to stay curious and continue to cultivate relationships with your mentors, coaches and/or sponsors as you continue down your career path.

Good question, John. I've known several. I have asked several what has been their biggest obstacle (unqualified, professional or personal) and how did they overcome it. The answers have often led to additional insight into the personality, perspective, and leadership style of the individual.
