Wouldn't it be more comprehensible to place "Estimate Activity Resources" under Cost Management K.A. ? Is there a specific reason for it being under Time Management?

To estimate time you need calendars. You have to be resource calendars available. That is becuase you need to estimate resources to estimate time.

I understand. In this case, the current structure is better for a more reliable time management planning. Thank you Mr.Conte.

You are welcome. Just trying to add something remember that resource are any type of resource. And activities duration will depend on resource assigned to the activity. All this stuff will be critical to estimate cost.

I agree with Sergio - You need resources calendars to estimate time and then cost.

It was in the cost chapter in the early editions then moved to scheduling and now, in the 6th Ed I think it is moving to Resource Management

Sir, I cannot give a specific reference now but I have this information from the exposure draft of the PMBOK Guide. As you know, the 6th Ed will replace HR with Resource Management and Estimate Activity Resource is a perfect fit for this revised knowledge area.
