I'm interested in learning more about leadership and found the Simon Sinek videos on youtube (https://youtu.be/ReRcHdeUG9Y).

Can you recommend his books?

Could you point me to other leadership literature?

Werner:
Check the practice area, do a search, follow many of us talking about leadership here and also the discussions in the leadership discussion area. Have you checked TedX, the latest book on Amazon? I'd consider what is interesting to you and start reading, viewing and reflecting.

Leadership is a broad subject. I can recommend Drive and To Sell is Human by Daniel Pink. There is the 5th Discipline by Dr. Peter Senge, which I need to read myself. Lynchpin and The Dip by Seth Godin are great books.

Most of what I recommended here are for self-leadership and getting yourself in the right frame of mind to help and lead others.

Years ago, I found Ken Blanchard's "One Minute Manager" and "Leadership and the One Minute Manager" to be incredibly helpful. Don't let the easy, 100-page reads fool you regarding the value of these books. The first has to do with achieving goals, the second situational leadership.

I recommend (both personally and professionally):
- "Co-Active Coaching: Changing Business, Transforming Lives"
- "Games People Play"
- "Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ" and "Social Intelligence: The New Science of Human Relationships" (which I am enjoying now)

And anything related to Lean leadership style e.g. "The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership: Achieving and Sustaining Excellence through Leadership Development "
