We are slowly transitioning from traditional project management to a more agile/iterative approach. Our governance framework is very robust for all things waterfall etc but it seriously lacking in Agile. I've started with internet searches, using google and looking at presentation on slideshare but haven't really found anything appropriate or suitable. So I ask my question - does anyone have a governance framework for Agile. It doesn't need to be too dense; just enough to get something in place that we will build upon as we get more mature. Thanks

First of all, Agilesomething does not exists. What exists is somethng performed into some environments. Second, Agile is not a method, is not softrware related only, did not start with the Manifesto. Third, the same governance model you use for non agile approaches could be used for Agile approches. In my actual organization we have 5 project life cycle models defined but one and only one governance framework. I was the author.

Sergio thank you
When being Agile we should use same governance. What change in Agile is the way we think and work.

Yes Vincent. That is critical and that is because, if you ask me, in my personal opinion, the variable that defines all the endevour is culture. Your comment move to me to make some addition. In my case (and taking into account I must be involved in defining the governance process inside the organizations I worked in the last 25 years or more) we used a stage gate based process. Each stage gate must be defined inside your process based on some criterias where the main is risk. But it is up to your process where your decide to set up your gate.
