Is it a single activity?
Is it a series of activities?
Is in time-bounded?
Is it done once?
Is it done several times during a project?
Is it a must?

Do you perform team building in your projects?

Do you need management approval for team buildings?

Hi George: Many people underestimate the profound importance of constant, continual team building. There are so many advantages for constantly "feeding" the morale of your team!

Need to be continual.
The way I see it is a few time early in the project then at a reasonable interval.
Could be interesting to reinforce before critical/difficult milestone.

Definitely, not a single activity that you pay to a 3rd party to organize it.

Is a day to day activity with your group to become a Team.

Hi Mayte - Initially I had to agree and disagree on this one with you :)... It is clear that it is definetly not a single activity organized.

But I didn't understand the day to day part of you comment, until I realized that each of our daily actions, comments and meetings as PM's determine the way our team works together.

Thanks again...

Also, day to day could mean...

5 minutes before each meeting, or opening meeting conferences 5/10 minutes prior to get a quick personal chat with team members or staying back with a team member 5 minutes after you've closed the call...

Mayte, the more I think about your comment, the more I agree...

Direct translation sorry!

Yes, you got is. From my point of view, team building is not only when we spent money in team activities as ziplines, dinner or water parks, is also how we interact with our group in order to create a team.

In my case, as a freelance, when I joined a company, I didn't have a team, I manage a group of people, and I have to work to create a team, a real team.
