Hello,

I'm looking for a process or form that allows for the customer to sign-off on commiting to costs for third party software being procured to develop solutions for the product being designed for the customer. These are different software solutions with significant cost implications agreed to verbally by the customer before I came on board.

This could be a problem is they don't own up to the verbal commitment. I would tend to just make up an Authorization form that identifies the product, cost, purpose and acknowldegment that they will pay for it. Another option is to have them buy it directly and then allow your usage.

The real rub comes if the project was quoted as a fixed fee and does not reflect the additional software.

Good Luck
