The overall software development panorama is changing, and these changes involve mostly a shift in previously blindly accepted paradigms and role delimitation. Nothing change my friend. You can find the same you posted into papers from 1990 (and before) up to date. What we have to do is to understand that we must not confuse roles with people that perform the role. QA is performed into any Agile environment where you use some Agile Development Method. In fact, some methods like DSDM has the role clearly defined into it.

Major companies like goolgle,etc are doing away with testers , they do have product engineers who takes care of development and testing...etc, it is trending slowly .......but it is a long way before it become common practice.
Testing is part of project/product/service ....there is no question on that but whether do we need have specialist for this or not is debatable Saving Changes...
