Project Manager vs. Account Director

I have recently hire a PM and have mandated that all web developement projects and tasks flow through her to assign to developers. This is causing conflict with my Account Director who previously had this role as well. It now seems that smaller tasks are falling through the cracks or are taking too long to execute. Growing pains?

Dear Anonymous, could be growing pains, could be something a bit more problematic. What exactly is the conflict with your Account Director? Regarding the smaller tasks that are falling through the cracks and/or taking too long, is this a process problem, skill issue, or organizational mischief? Sounds like performance has trended downward. Perhaps some team building with your leads can wipe the slate clean. Carrots or sticks, you choose!
